Nicky Ovitt's scarf collection, Herencia (heritage) is inspired by the Traditional Spanish HeritageArts of New Mexico. The three skilled crafts she focuses on in this collection are colcha embroidery using wool, decorative tin metal work, and carved wood furniture. The scarves are named for the towns where these traditions developed a distinctive style or particular influence.
