This gorgeous single-ply crewel wool is hand dyed in North Carolina. Each skein is 30 yards in length and is dyed using environmentally friendly and colorfast techniques. In addition to crewelwork and plastic canvas projects, this soft, pliable wool is also appealing to knitters and crocheters in place of fingering weight yarns for their projects. It's especially useful for patterns that call for some additional hand or machine stitching, such as in stuffed animals or toys. We love it for patching sweaters and mending socks.
